The Energy of You Volume XX Issue #19


Hi Reader,

I spent last Sunday at the We Can Do Hard Things book launch with my friend Tawnya. We chatted as we walked around the city (not as much as our norm due to a foot injury I sustained last week).

With all of the uncertainty and chaos in the world right now, my energy has not been flowing as smoothly as I’m used to. It’s like there’s static in the signal.


This has shown up in many ways: timing missteps, a lingering virus, the foot injury mentioned above, unexpected fatigue, and a lot less patience than normal.


I did some chakra clearing and tapping, and I took a walk barefoot in the sand. When that didn’t feel quite enough, my energy still felt off kilter. I reached out to Allison, a trusted friend and fellow healer. Together, we did a deeper energetic clearing, and she created a custom flower essence blend to help anchor the shift.

Sometimes the most healing thing is letting someone else help and hold space for you.

We all have off days or off weeks. But one thing I’ve learned (and it is even more important as I age), tending to your energy field is like brushing your teeth. Skip it for too long and the funk builds up.


The earlier you catch an energetic disruption, the more gracefully you can course correct. Here are the tools I reached for this week. Try one or a few and see what resonates for you:

1. Grounding (Barefoot or Visual)

Let your body reconnect with the earth—literally or mentally. Walking barefoot on grass, sand, or dirt helps discharge built-up stress. No nature nearby? Visualize roots extending from the soles of your feet deep into the earth. Feel the stability, strength, and quiet that lives there.

2. Chakra Balancing

When your energy feels scattered or “off,” it’s often linked to one or more imbalanced chakras. A simple sweep (visualizing energy flowing from the crown of your head to your feet) or focusing on color, sound, or breath tied to a specific chakra can bring things back into alignment. 3. Energetic Scanning + Intention Setting

Gently scan your body with your awareness. Where feels tight, numb, heavy, or overactive? Set a clear intention: “I call my energy back,” or “I am open to release what no longer serves me.” Intentions act as tuning forks, guiding your system back to coherence.

4. EFT Tapping

This mind-body technique clears stuck emotions by tapping on acupuncture points while voicing a truth or belief you’re ready to shift. It’s especially helpful when the static feels emotional or you can’t get out of your head.


Energy isn’t always linear. Sometimes it’s flowing; sometimes it gets tangled. That’s okay. What matters is how we care for it—and for ourselves in the process.
