The Energy of You Volume XIX Issue# 25

Hi Reader,

A few years ago, I was having dinner with a friend. We were talking about our healing practices. Allison is a flower essence practitioner and animal communicator.

I lowered my voice just above a whisper to ask her, “Can you see auras?”

She leaned in, lowering her voice as well “No.”

Relief flooded my body. I wasn’t the only one.

We started laughing. It’s an inside joke now when we have a particularly powerful session or some self-doubt creeps in, we say, “But I can’t see auras!”

It’s a common misconception that in order to do energy healing or intuitive work, you must be able to see auras.

After all, how does one work with the invisible?

I can’t see an aura. I can feel the energy. When doing hands-on work, I often hear static in an imbalanced area. Sometimes, I just know things. I’ve done some powerful healing work, and I still can’t see an aura.

Each of us has different capacities to see, feel, hear, and move energy. Some common general experiences exist, but the actual experience is highly personal. As we learn our own unique process and trust it, the work becomes more fluid and powerful.

Here’s an overview of the human aura.

Our aura is a field of energy that surrounds and permeates our physical body. This energy field is often described as a luminous glow or multicolored layers extending outwards from the body. ( I can’t say for certain because…yep because I can’t see auras; my secret is out 😂)

The energy in your aura is a reflection of your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual state.

Layers of the Aura

  1. Physical Aura Layer: Closest to the body, this layer is associated with your physical health and vitality. It reflects the condition of the physical body and any ailments or strengths.
  2. Emotional Aura Layer: This layer reflects your emotional state. Emotions such as happiness, anger, sadness, or anxiety can influence the colors and intensity of this layer.
  3. Mental Aura Layer: Associated with your thoughts, beliefs and mental processes, this layer hold the patterns of your mental state, clarity of thought, and intellectual activities.
  4. Spiritual Aura Layer: The outermost layer, it is connected to your spiritual beliefs, connection to the universe, and overall sense of purpose and well-being.

Colors of the Aura

Different colors within the aura are believed to correspond to various aspects of a person’s being. Some common interpretations include:

  • Red: Vitality, passion, strong emotions
  • Orange: Creativity, sociability, emotional expression
  • Yellow: Intellect, confidence, clarity
  • Green: Healing, balance, growth
  • Blue: Calmness, communication, truth
  • Purple: Spirituality, intuition, higher consciousness
  • White: Purity, protection, spiritual connection

Significance and Interpretation

The aura is often used as a diagnostic tool in holistic and alternative healing practices. Practitioners tune into auras may use their observations to understand a person’s health and well-being on multiple levels guiding them in the healing practice. You can also do this for yourself with some practice. For example:

  • Healing Practices: Reiki, therapeutic touch, and other energy healing modalities often involve working with the aura to remove blockages, balance energy, and promote healing.
  • Self-Awareness: Understanding your own aura can lead to increased self-awareness, helping you recognize and address issues before they become deeply entrenched. Regular practices can help tune into the subtle energies of the aura, promoting balance and harmony.
  • Protection and Cleansing: Practices such as meditation, visualization, and the use of crystals or herbs can help to keep energy flowing and clear, as well as detect disruptions in energy flow.

Scientific Perspective

While the concept of the aura is widely embraced in metaphysical and holistic circles, it remains a topic of debate in the scientific community. There are devices that measure the energy field but research is limited at his point in time.

Skeptics argue that there is no empirical evidence to support the existence of the aura, and what some perceive as an aura may be a psychological or perceptual phenomenon. This perception is changing slowly, as is often true with change.

Integrating Aura Awareness in Mind-Body Health

Even if like me you can’t see an aura you can learn to tune in to the energy. It’s one of the ways we are energetically connected.

Energy fields pulse energy all the time.

Your aura offers insight into the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, and provides an accessible way to explore your health and well-being.

Do you see auras?? Drop me a note and let me know

Be Well,

Cathy
