It’s been a beautiful, sunny, quiet weekend here, with a little bit of reading in the backyard, a little bit of writing, and some energy work. A much needed and nice reprieve from the chaos in the world. This pandemic has affected people in so many different ways, for some, there is an expanse of time as work is halted and others are time-crunched as they work remotely or in essential roles adding new things to an already full schedule. There are economic, health, relationship, and work concerns that shake our sense of security. The simple act of getting groceries takes more time and energetically is exhausting. Yet there is a sense of adjusting, adapting, and wrapping our heads around what may be a new way of being for a while. Stories of creativity and connection uplift me and I am cautiously optimistic that we will find solutions and adapt possibly to a better, albeit different, version of life.
This past week seemed to bring with it a desire to look inward and explore what I want the future to look like. I found the same to be true with my clients and friends. Clearing away the ‘I should’, ‘I could’, and ‘I’ve always’ done this or that is always the first step for me. I’m a recovering people pleaser….I really do want everyone to be happy and fulfilled… but my place is to hold the space and teach techniques to get there while honoring my own values and dreams. In order to do that, I do some chakra balancing, meditate, tune in to my inner wisdom, and journal. This practice is something I have honed over the years and continue to grow with. One of my favorite things to work on with clients is developing their unique process for vetting and designing ideas, goals, and dreams. I’m grateful to have had a lot of that this week.
Part of my process was a request for help in fine-tuning the focus and content of my new program {coming soon}, a big thank you to those who took the time to chat with me and share what dreams and goals they were focused on and the techniques they were trying. This week I’m asking for help by way of a mind-body survey. If you’re interested in helping I have a short survey it’s just 6 questions that will take about 3 minutes to complete. I would love to hear your experiences/thoughts. (if you want to chat there are still a few open spots see below)
Wishing you a week filled with health and peace.
Namaste’
Be Well,
Cathy
