I feel like I’m forever running little experiments…must be the researcher in me. I’m always testing and tweaking things in my business and my personal life. In the past couple of weeks, I had an intuitive reading, an astrology consultation, and a close friend all tell me to dance more.
A trio of the same message definitely got my intention. Dance for me is a source of joy and lighthearted fun, definitely a nudge to inject more joy and fun into my life.
This week I put music on and danced more – in the kitchen making dinner, out in the yard tending the garden, and even as I got dressed in the morning. I found my to-do list getting shorter, i.e., more realistic, and I actually got more done.
This month’s focus is on personal growth. It’s one of the six spheres of influence of a life by design. Research has shown these areas have the greatest impact on life satisfaction.

Personal Growth – the active pursuit of learning and growing throughout your life. There are many components of this, but two key ones are mastery and curiosity. One is honing a skill in a particular area and the other about exploring new pursuits. They often go hand in hand and are expressed differently.
By actively learning and growing, you add meaning and depth to your life. This is not about keeping yourself so busy that you don’t have time to breathe. It’s about cultivating interests that enrich your life.
I actively expand my experience and knowledge in energy healing as a practice in mastery. There’s always so much to learn, and happily, this field has new findings regularly. It’s something I continually do.
On the other hand, learning new things outside of this can sometimes fall by the wayside, so a timely nudge is helpful. So as things open up, I’m looking at taking a new dance class or maybe learn a new language, or maybe something else will pique my curiosity.
