Cathy Gatto-Brennan, RN, MSMBM
Mind-Body Researcher & Integrative Wellness Coach
I’m a mind-body researcher, registered nurse, and integrative wellness coach with 35 years of clinical experience and a Master of Science in Mind-Body Medicine. My expertise spans biofield science, human energy field research, consciousness studies, and the practical application of energy medicine for women navigating midlife.
I founded the Center for Conscious Wellness on a single core conviction: that the science of how we age is far more empowering than most of us have been taught. I study the intersection of biofield health, nervous system regulation, and epigenetics then translate that research into tools you can actually use on an ordinary Tuesday morning.
My approach bridges two worlds that rarely talk to each other. On one side: peer-reviewed research on belief, longevity, and the body’s subtle energy systems. On the other: grounded, body-centered practices that fit into real life. The result is a framework my clients describe as both intellectually credible and deeply felt.
I do hope we get to connect and say hello so I can hear your bio, too. I invite you to connect with me on Facebook, Instagram or drop me an email.

My Mission
Taking the Stress Out of Change – Big and Little
I specialize in working with women in their 50s, 60s, and beyond who are curious, capable, and ready to stop treating midlife as something to get through. Through my membership community, learning labs, and one-on-one work, I help them reclaim their energy, reset their nervous systems, and step into the second half of life with clarity and vitality.
A little about Cathy Gatto Brennan
My name is Cathy Gatto Brennan, and I’m a mind-body researcher, registered nurse, & author who is fascinated by how thoughts, beliefs, and biofield influence our lives. What I learn, I put into practice and teach so you can truly feel seen, heard, and valued.
By any definition, I’ve had a bit of a tumbleweed career. After high school, I signed up for a fashion design program – funny because my wardrobe is made up primarily of jeans, t-shirts, and sandals. A week before the start of classes, the program was canceled, and I had to choose one of the other programs they offered: commercial art, dental assistant, or nursing.
Nursing was the most attractive, so nursing it was. I graduated, got a job at a hospital, and went on to build a career as an RN. At the same time, I took classes in environmental engineering
As a nurse, I loved helping people in their healing process. However, over time, I wanted to do more. I envisioned a more empowering model for personal health. I began searching, taking classes and certifications in herbology, hypnosis, Reiki, intuitive practices, and chakra healing. I started Nature’s Health Source, a small business focused on creating and selling all-natural lotions, soaps, and salves. I missed working directly with people and wanted to use my various skills more thoroughly.
About that time, Cheryl Richardson introduced me to life coaching. It was love at first sight; I was hooked. I took classes at Coach U and followed Thomas Leonard when he started Coachville, where I completed my basic and advanced coaching coursework. My one-on-one coaching practice opened in 2003, and in 2006, I added group coaching and workshops.
I fell in love with coaching. I’m still in love twenty years later.
Coaching allows me to use my unique blend of intuitive skills, energy work, and pragmatic, practical applications to inspire, empower, and connect people with their own authority (all core values for me). As we move through our lives, particularly at midlife, it can feel particularly urgent. It’s an incredibly powerful process for your body, mind, and spirit that helps you bring your potential into reality and eliminate the feeling of being the only one or going it alone.
I’m also a mind-body researcher studying the many ways the mind and body interact and how our energetic flow impacts health and well-being.
The personal side
When I’m not teaching or coaching, I can be found walking on the beach, savoring a really good cup of coffee, or indulging in my love of travel with one of my grown kids.
If you’re curious for more, here are 3 things you might not know about me:
- I prefer going barefoot so when I have to wear shoes I chose colorful quirky ones.
- I love to read and always have 4 -5 books going at the same time so I can find one to fit my mood.
- I secretly love sappy Hallmark movies, especially the Christmas ones.
